After the fireflies cruise, return to the jetty for your drop-off transfer.

Itinerary
Day 1 • Sandakan / Mangrove Fireflies River Cruise
Your evening begins at about 4.30 pm with pickup from your hotel within Sandakan or Sandakan Airport. After a simple tea break, take a short walk around the nearby village to see local daily life and activities before making your way to the jetty.
Board the boat and cruise into the mangrove river system. As you travel, your guide will introduce the mangrove environment and the life it supports. You’ll also get to try setting a crab trap, which will be collected on the return cruise. Around sunset, stop briefly at Pamaguan Island to enjoy the evening light from the island before cruising back to the jetty area for dinner.
After dinner, walk back to the jetty and continue by boat to search for fireflies among the mangroves. Return to the jetty at around 8.00 pm, then transfer back to your hotel or Sandakan Airport.
