Itinerary
Day 1 u2022 Sandakan / Bilit / Kinabatangan River
Begin with pickup from your hotel within Sandakan and travel by road to Bilit on the Kinabatangan River, continuing to Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort. On arrival, the resort team will welcome you with refreshments before a short briefing on the resort, routes and safety. Check in and settle into your room.
At around 4.00 pm, board a river cruise along the Kinabatangan. This river corridor is one of Sabah’s best-known wildlife areas, with chances to spot proboscis monkeys, orangutans, macaques, pygmy elephants, hornbills and other birdlife. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but the late afternoon is a rewarding time to be on the river.
Return to the resort for dinner and overnight at Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort.
Day 2 u2022 Kinabatangan River / Sandakan
Wake to the sounds of the forest, where gibbons, hornbills and early morning birdlife are often part of the Kinabatangan atmosphere. Head out for an early morning cruise along the river in search of more wildlife and birdlife as the day begins.
Return to the resort for breakfast, then check out and travel back to Sandakan. Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel within Sandakan or Sandakan Airport for your onward flight.
